About mimi

Mimi Pond has been a cartoonist and writer for over 40 years.

She produced five humor books in the 1980s, including “The Valley Girls’ Guide to Life.” She wrote the first episode of “the Simpsons,” “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.”

Her 2014 graphic novel, “Over Easy,” published by Drawn & Quarterly, was on the New York Times Best Seller List and won a PEN Award. The second volume of this story, “The Customer is Always Wrong,” was published in 2017.

Her graphic biography of Britain’s storied Mitford Sisters, entitled “Do Admit! The Mitford Sisters and Me,”  will  be published in September 2025 by Drawn & Quarterly in North America and by Jonathan Cape in Britain in October 2025.
